Woodworm Duffle Bag – Cricket Store UK 0.800.014.8141

via Woodworm Duffle Bag – Cricket Store UK 0.800.014.8141.

I really like this new woodworm duffle bag. Its pretty well constructed. Really tough materials and certainly value for money. This Woodworm duffle bag is smaller than most bags so its probably not good for adults who carry extra kit, helmets, beer etc. Probably pretty good though for students or young boys/ girls who don’t have big oversized kit and don’t take their cricket too seriously just yet.

Here are some extra specs about the Woodworm duffle bag.

Brand new for the 2009/2010 season.

  • Latest style cricket duffle
  • Top quality durable and strong material
  • Designed to be carried on your back – dual straps
  • Numerous external pockets to keep your gear organised
  • Built in bat sleeve
  • Also great for club kit bags
  • The photo shows an embroidered example done for one of our clients – we can do this for any club so please contact us if interested.

Puma Ballistic Flex Tec 6000 Batting Pads – the lightest cricket pads we have ever tested

So what can we say about these puma ballistic pads. They are easily some of the lightest cricket pads we have ever tested. The craftsmanship is just brilliant and very well put together.

I would certainly recommend these Puma ballistic cricket batting pads to anyone who is serious about their cricket and wants to perform at the highest level. You will feel as if you don’t even have pads on they are so light. The puma ballistic’s are not the most comfortable pad available but they certainly are light. So save up a bit of cash, as they aren’t cheap, running anywhere from $150 – $180 USD. They are well worth the price though.

The Pads

The pads of choice for master-blasters Brendon McCullum and Adam Gilchrist, these leg guards are intended to offer wholesale freedom of movement in order to allow the more free-spirited batsman to tee off with minimal restriction. Notable features on these cut down pads include an internal Fibre Tech shield and a moulded kneecap.

We Say

The lightest pads we’ve ever tested, these babies allow you to skip down the track with abandon. Suffered slightly in terms of comfort due to chaffing a previously acquired injury on one of our play-testers, and as eye-catching as they are you’ll probably have a few shots to avoid the odd remark from jealous opponents, but if you favour quick feet, don’t be shy on shelling out on these babies.

The special package for usa cricketers

We have a very special package deal available to anyone in the USA. Cricket is growing bigger and bigger every year and unfortunately our budget is getting smaller and smaller. I have put together and awesome package deal that is great for anyone starting the game again after a long layoff from the game or anyone that just isnt to serious about the game but wants some kit to be able to have a game of cricket with your friends.

This is really and awesome deal for any avid cricketer. The bat is english willow so it is good for use with regulation cricket ball or tapeball or hard tennis ball. As you can see in this set is :

  • 1 x cricket bat

  • 1 x cricket batting gloves

  • 1 x cricket batting pads

  • 1 x cricket bag

  • 1 x cricket shoes

  • 1 x abdomen protector

  • 1 x thigh pad

Reduced shipping fees for orders going to Canada

I know in the last few months a lot of my valuable customers in Canada have been complaining about the cost of the brokerage fees placed on their shipments by UPS and also the taxes by the Canadian government. Gunn & Moore maxi protective shorts

cricket store online logo

The Gunn & Moore maxi protective shorts are a pretty good pair of shorts. i have used them for about 2 seasons before i switched out to the more expensive Aero stripper moulded thigh guard. The GM shorts are made of cotton and are body hugging. They have all the necessary padding in them and offer a thigh pad as well as an inner thigh guard. The one pouch they don’t have is the abdomen protector. therefore you need to either wear a jock strap, underpants or other shorts with an inner liner. So that brings me to my problem with these pads. You will probably get pretty hot and sweaty if you war these. With basically 3 layers of clothing over you family jewels.

So basically i would say that these shorts are pretty good if you are on a budget. If you can afford the more expensive thigh pads then go for them instead. however if you are on a bit of a budget then these shorts will serve you well as i used them for 2 or 3 seasons and they were just fine.

i hope you have found this cricket gear review useful and easier to make a purchase decision.
