Top 10 allrounders in cricket over the last 20 years

Ive just recently written a short list of my top 10 all-rounder of the last 20 years. All rounders are undoubtedly a very important part of the cricket team and some captains find them invaluable.

In this list are people like Jacques Kallis of south africa who is a current player and a valuable player in the South african test and ODI team.

With 11126 runs in test cricket at an average of 55.07 (35 hundreds ) and 266 wickets no one is going to argue his presence in the list.

In one day cricket Jacques has 10838 runs at an average of 45.72 and 254 wickets.

In T20I’s Jacques Kallis has 512 runs at an average of 34.13 and 5 wickets.

In first class he has 17478 runs at an average of 53.77, 52 hundreds and 92 fifties.

Gray Nicolls Evo 1000 cricket batting gloves

The Gray Nicolls Evo 1000 cricket batting gloves like all more expensive gloves i have reviewed are really really nice. Gray nicolls have really out done themselves here with these awesome batting gloves. The quality of the leather is top notch and they are also really comfortable.

These cricket batting gloves offer supreme quality, breathability and also protection from pace bowlers at any level. I found that even after a long innings that my hands stayed dry ( ish ) and my fingers  or hands never really got tired. You see, the gloves are moulded so that you dont need to flex your hands around the bat, using up energy and fatiguing your hands. All you need to do is use the least amount of energy to actually hang on to your bat.

You will feel comfortable in these cricket batting gloves and you will also have supreme control of all your shots.

17 days to go

Cricket Store Online cricket bat giveaway

Well, we are at 17 days to go until our cricket bat giveaway. we have had an awesome response to the giveaway. News of it has spread around the world with people entering the competition from countries as far away as south africa, india and australia.

The Gray Nicolls phoenix titanium short handle cricket bat is still sitting here in my office. I get to look at it every day and admire it. She really is a good looking cricket bat. This partictular cricket bat has a more traditional straight face. Not like a lot of the modern cricket bats that have a concave ( sub-continent ) curve to the face.

The cricket bat was hand crafted in england which is rare these days with a large majority of the cricket bats being made in india or pakistan. The bat has about 8 grains on the face and has a very nice ping to it. You will get 2 grips on the handle of the bat as well as a pre-installed toe guard.

One of the unique features about this cricket bat is the Groove Power System. What gray nicolls have done is take wood out of the back side of the bat to make it a little lighter without affecting the the sweet spot at all. I am seriously impressed with this bat.Its a lot like the bat Brian Lara used to use. The Scoop.

Feel free to go have a look at some pictures of this cricket bat that i am giving away to one lucky fan on the 30th of september 2010. You can view them at www.cricketstoreonline.com. You can also click here and read more about it.
